Train Travel in Nottingham

Nottingham may not be on the main line through the Midlands but it still has excellent rail connections to cities across the country, including direct services to London.

Midland Mainline operate the services to and from London St Pancreas, which take just under two hours and run every half an hour. This operator also offers hourly services to Sheffield and Leeds, and half-hourly services to Birmingham.

Central Trains provides direct services to Manchester Piccadilly, Liverpool Lime Street and Norwich, which run hourly on weekdays. From these stations you can get connections to Wales, Scotland and other parts of England.

All trains stop at Nottingham Train Station [map] on Station Street, which has a number of facilities including a café, newsagent, waiting rooms, public toilets and cash machines. There is a taxi rank and bus stop outside the station, although it is only a five minute walk to the city centre.

The booking office open from 5.30am to 10:00pm, Monday to Saturday and from 7.15am to 10:00pm on Sundays, in addition the travel centre is open six days a week.
