GO The Morning After in Norwich

Morning After Relief in Norwich If you’re feeling worse for wear after a night out or just want a decent breakfast, then you’re in luck because Norwich has a good choice of cafés, bistros and classic greasy spoons.

As you would expect in East Anglia’s number one city, there is the usual array of fast food restaurants, including McDonalds, Burger King and KFC.

But if you’re after something a little more filling, such as a traditional fry up and plenty of toast, head to the Black Horse pub [map] on Earlham Road, which opens at 8:00am six days a week.

For more in the way of home cooked breakfasts pay a visit to the locally famous Britons Arms Coffee House [map] on Elm Hill in the heart of Norwich’s ancient quarter. Here you can enjoy sandwiches, pies, pastries, and cakes with a steaming hot mug of delicious coffee or speciality tea. The café opens at 9:30am, Monday to Saturday.

If the hair of the dog is more your style then check out the menu at Fatso’s Speakeasy Restaurant [map] on Prince of Wales Road, which serves plenty of greasy burgers and chips, along with mind-blowing cocktails!

Alternatively there's Café Bar Marzano [map] at The Forum on Millennium Plain, which opens early and serves a great choice of snacks and meals throughout the day, along with premium coffees to wake you up.

Finally, O’Brien’s Irish Sandwich Bar [map] has a good breakfast menu, which includes bacon and cheese bagels and a hot Irish breakfast. Located on St Stephen’s Street in the heart of the action, this place has become a firm favourite among tourists, workers and students recovering from the night before.
