GO Dating in Blackpool

Dating in Blackpool Whether you’re looking for a cool chick or a gorgeous hunk, there are plenty of bars around Blackpool packed to bursting with beautiful single people looking for love.

But if you’re too shy to make the first move, then why not give the craze of Speed Dating a whirl, as it has finally found its way to at least one Fylde Coast venue.

Organised by UK Xfactor, there are regular speed dating evenings at the trendy Joya [map] restaurant and bar in nearby St Annes. The venue is a newly built high calibre bar, restaurant and club with comfy leather seating areas and marble floors. Speed dating guests are guaranteed a free cocktail on arrival.

Just in case you’ve never heard of it, Speed Dating is a 21st century dating game that involves getting 30 single men and 30 women to meet in a bar. Everyone is given a scorecard, a pen and a badge on arrival and then the men sit down opposite the women and the dating starts.

After three minutes, a bell rings and all the men move round one place, so you get to meet 30 potential partners in a couple of hours. At the end of the evening the daters mark on the scorecards who they would like to see again and hand them in to the organizers. Where there is a match, the lucky people concerned receive their potential love heart’s details within 48 hours and are left to do what comes naturally.

If that doesn’t sound like your cup of tea then you could always just do what most singletons do on a Friday and Saturday night – hit the town’s bars and clubs and seek out your new love through a game of trial and error!

To meet a trendy fun-loving girl or a good-looking bloke then head to bars such as Arriba [map], N.T.K. [map] and Brannigans [map].

For a more chilled out partner get along to one of Blackpool’s fun pubs, including the Dutton Arms [map] and The Jaggy Thistle [map], where you’ll find lads and lasses drinking and having a laugh.

If you’re looking for a gay partner then you should head to the Talbot Road area [map] of town where you’ll find a thriving gay scene.

Among the best bars to meet your perfect match are The Flying Handbag [map] and Pepe’s Bar [map], where the trendy young things hang out.
